Titan Stack High Roller

At the top of the news was the Titan Stack High Roller which drew 16 entries. At a buy-in of KRW 5,500,000 (~USD 3,700), it built a prize pool of KRW 76,800,000 (~USD 51,000).

Only four players reached the money, with Marc Rivera walking away with the KRW 33,600,000 (~USD 22,300) top prize along with one of the most coveted trophies in poker.

Place Player Prize (KRW)
1st 🇵🇭 Marc Rivera 33,600,000
2nd 🇨🇳 Wenchao Liu 21,900,000
3rd 🇮🇩 Rudy Edenata 14,600,000
4th 🇨🇳 Daqiao Britannien Jiang 10,300,000

Final Day Recap

Rivera entered the final day third in chips behind leader Daqiao Jiang, though with the average stack sitting at around 120 big blinds, there was plenty of room to maneuver.

Wenchao Liu

Early on, Rudy Edenata came out firing while Wenchao Liu steadily grinded his way into the lead, eventually overtaking Jiang and distance himself from the field. Meanwhile, Rivera hit the danger zone, dropping to just 13 big blinds before finding a lifeline.

Daqiao Jiang

Holding K ♣️ 6 ♦️, Rivera shoved and ran into Edenata’s A ♥️ 10 ♠️. The flop delivered a lucky six, allowing Rivera to double up and climb back to 28 big blinds. From there, he slowly rebuilt, grinding his way above average while Jiang’s stack headed in the opposite direction.

Jiang eventually fell in 4th place when his A ♦️ 8 ♥️ failed to improve against Rivera’s 7 ♦️ 7 ♠️.

Three-Handed Play

Rudy Edenata

Three-handed play belonged largely to Liu, who relentlessly pressured both opponents that at one point, he controlled nearly half the chips in play.

Edenata, on the other, found himself on the wrong side of several clashes, including one costly hand where he paid off Rivera’s straight holding only top pair. Short-stacked with ten big blinds remaining, Edenata made his stand with 5 ♦️ 5 ♣️ then lost the flip against Liu’s A ♦️ 10 ♦️ after an ace spiked the river.

Heads Up: Rivera vs Liu

Wenchao Liu and Marc Rivera

Heads up began with Liu holding the advantage — 100 big blinds over 55 big blinds. Rivera picked up the opening pot with an uncalled river raise on a board of 10 ♦️ 8 ♥️ J ♦️ Q ♦️ 7 ♠️ to even the counts.

Liu retaliated with Q ♣️ 10 ♦️ earning river value on a board 9 ♠️ 10 ♠️ Q ♥️ 7 ♥️ 9 ♣️ to reclaim the lead. But not for long.

Marc Rivera

Rivera seized back control when he doubled with 9 ♠️ 9 ♦️ against Liu’s A ♣️ 7 ♣️. Shortly after, the final hand unfolded that saw the shoves on a board of 2 ♣️ 8 ♠️ 6 ♥️ 9 ♠️.

It first opened with Rivera limping in and Liu checked. Liu fired both the flop and turn before Rivera raised the turn. Liu responded with a three-bet shove and was snap-called.

Rivera's straight was already made with 10 ♠️ 7 ♦️, Liu had 7 ♥️ 2 ♥️ bottom pair. The river 7 ♣️ denied a possible split to secure Rivera the title.
